Hiking guide Helmut Laux
Helmut started his first attempts at climbing with his boy scout group in the Dahner Felsenland, where he discovered his passion for hiking and climbing, Not only the Alps, but also famous mountains from all over the world (e. g. in Nepal, Tansania, Russia, Turkey, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador) have turned into a kind of second home for him.
In his 50-year long life as a mountaineer, he climbed about 50 peaks above 4000m and about 30 peaks with a height of almost 7000m.
One of the personal highlights in his career as an alpinist surely was the construction of a bivouac box for 15 people, which became a monument for him, when it was transported to the „Berliner Hütte" (a refuge) at the Aconcagua mountain in Argentina.
The time for extreme tours and expeditions is over nowadays and he enjoys the lovely hiking spots in the Palatinate.
Experience and enjoy with him small and large tours through „Germany's Tuscany" and hear stories from the region and the interesting life in the diverse world of mountains from Helmut Laux!
Be it during a family celebration, a time-out during your conference or just a short holiday in the Palatinate - a hiking tour with Helmut Laux will definitely enrich your stay at the Weinstraße.
